Antica Pizzeria Del Borgo Orefici — Restaurant in Naples

A very beautiful cozy restaurant off slightly the road in the corner , well lit up with great Italian food options. We ordered the spaghetti clams and it was so delicious. With perfect amount of olive oil, mildly spices but very authentic & flavorful . Both the quantity & quality of clams was great ! We did not have time to sit down & eat so we requested take away. The lady in charge of cash desk was very pleasant to talk to and helped us to explain in English. They have menu card printed in English too. The packing was so good that even after 35 mins walk as we reached home, the pasta was still hot not sticky and tasted just awsome , some garlic chunks found in it enhanced the taste . I wish we had time to do a seat out dinner with some wine but may be next time ! If you wish to taste authentic local Italian food with moderate pricing do visit . We arrived around 10pm and asked for a table. After having so much to trouble to communicate in English,we were finally on a table and got informed (always in Italian because they weren’t speaking a word of English) that the chef is about to leave and our choices were restricted only to pizza, even though we were in the mood of pasta. It was obvious that they weren’t willing to assist us, so I am still wondering why they let us sit. Unpleasant experience concerning the service, not to mention that instead of the proper paying ticket they gave us the piece of paper with our order handwritten on it! At first I thought it looked a little sketchy. We were set up in a small plastic table in the street next to the parked cars. But, the pizza was fantastic. We had a fresh choice with tomatoes, arugula, and fresh mozzarella. The other had mozzarella, ricotta, tomato sauce, and spiced ground beef. Very tasty.
