È una torre costruita nell'epoca aragonese, più precisamente da Alfonso d'Aragona Duca di Calabria, da cui il nome. Una saracinesca che scorre lungo binari verticali avrebbe bloccato l'accesso alla città in quanto la costruzione è divisa in due ed è attraverso di essa che era si accedeva...
