From the moment we pulled in, and saw the lovely garden, we felt totally relaxed and at ease. We received a very warm welcome from Fabio, who was attentive throughout our stay, and recommended a delicious local restaurant, which we loved so much we ate there twice! Samia also was lovely, and eager to help with anything we needed, including arranging a taxi for us. We added the delicious hotel breakfast for half of our mornings. It was available from 7:30-10am and consisted of cereals, local cakes, freshly baked croissants, fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, self-serve hardboiled eggs (you decide how long you would like to cook them), jams, honeys, fresh breads, etc. The professional grade coffee machine brewed delicious beverages. |The Villa is located right in the heart of the town; however, it's particular location is extremely quiet. The Villa gardens are well tended and beautifully laid out. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio, listening to their garden fountain. Other guests did so as well. The Villa looks extensively renovated and has very high-tech features. Rooms and outside gate have key cards, and lighting options in the rooms are abundant. The shower was huge and boasts european handheld, as well as the overhead rainfall options. |The Villa location was perfect, as we had a comfortable 4 minute walk to the harbor and 8 minute walk to the train station. There are many restaurants and shops within a few minute walk. It is just down from Villa Durazzo. We took the train to Rapallo one day, Camogli another, and a ferry to Portofino and San Fruttuoso a third day. We were very happy to have found this hotel, which offered parking for its guests (space permitting). We fortunately had no problems getting a spot. |We felt very relaxed throughout our stay and have the beautiful Villa and attentive...
Read moreWe had driven from the UK to Italy and wanted a safe place to park a large SUV. This is why we booked this hotel but we were so pleased with all the other features too. Parking is in a gated lot just opposite our room (#906). The rooms are large for Euro standards. They were clean and felt new. We had a little patio with table and chairs. The windows had shutters and thick curtains to keep the early morning light out. The air con worked well in the 32 degree heat. The hotel is in the perfect location for exploring Santa Margherita / Portifino. We took the ferry to Portifina one day. The ferry dock is 5 minutes walk from the hotel. We also walked to the lido / beach clubs which was only 15 minutes walk along the coast. Loads of restaurants and bars are just around the corner from the Villa. It is tucked enough away from the crowds, so we did not hear any road noise at night. The staff were very helpful, as we needed a documented printed for work and the gentleman brought it to our room immediately. The woman doing the breakfast put out fresh meats for us. We...
Read moreWe had three wonderful nights at this property which has been renovated to a very high standard. On arrival we had a very personal welcome and instantly shown to our room. The lady explained that the property has underfloor air con which they felt was not adequate in the extreme heatwave so had placed an electric fan in room prior to arrival so the room was comfortable. We booked a junior suite which was perfect and a large walk in shower. Room was cleaned to an exceptional standard and I am very fussy. Breakfast was self service but all produce was good quality. Both reception hosts were extremely helpful and took the time to ask how your day had been, very informative. There is very safe parking which is free at the front of the villa. We would stay again if we are in the area. Thank you for a...
