The hotel is located quite centrally, not far from everything (public beach, shopping streets, boat stop) however it’s the most uncomfortable hotel I have ever been. There’s a lot of paradoxes about this hotel. On the one hand, it’s clean and taken care of but on the other it’s more probably to look at rather than stay as it’s so impractical (we stayed 6 nights). First of all, the suit is very small (not sure about other rooms) and not well thought of. The main bed is very, very uncomfortable (quite hard) and it’s connected from two smaller beds. The sofa bed the usual standard. However the AC is just above the sofa bed (so if you want your kids to sleep there then be careful with AC). Opening the windows is not an option because it’s so noisy outside. Actually the noise is a really big issue even with the closed windows (imagine being in an airport hotel that has no soundproofed windows - and this is not exaggeration ) I have never slept so badly in my life throughout the entire stay. I was woken up by the noise both inside (acoustic) and outside the hotel plus due to lack of sleeping comfort. There was also no hot water during one morning (they forgot to switch it on? I asked the front desk and they fixed it). That’s the main reason I would never stay there again. Obviously, I approached the front desk at the beginning but they said they were fully booked and it should get better as the guests above us were checking out shortly (seriously???) Our suite was to have a welcome bottle of Prosecco, they forgot about it and we got it at the end only because we asked for it. The breakfasts are not special (no big choice for healthy breakfast). The restaurant is so-so as well. On the other hand, the waiting staff very kind and polite. We used Spa twice (including massages), again nothing special. And be careful here, we were looking for a hotel with a swimming pool and only when we arrived there, they told us children below 12 years cannot access the ‘pool’ area that is in the spa. There was no such information in our reservation so exceptionally they said we could go there (it’s only open from 14:00 - 20:00). The masseuses were pretty average and massages lasted around 50 minutes instead of one hour (we had four massages altogether). Another very impractical thing is that there are no hangers in the bathroom for wet swimming suits. So when you return from the beach or spa it’s a kind of your problem… If you are looking for some rest and relaxation, find another hotel and don’t get trapped as we did.
The area around is very nice and picturesque. We didn’t allow lack of comfort to ruin our holiday and we discovered Cinque Terre, San Fruttoso (really worth seeing and swimming), Parragi (very crowded and overpriced), Portofino...
Read moreRoom - full of hairs in the bed and everywhere not even a motel standard Broken wardrobe. Temperature 16 degrees upon arrival as a was full blast on could not heat it up and there was absolutely no need to have this temperature as outside it was not hot in September. We could not sleep it was freezing even after switching off the ac. The bed is the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on for sure not a 4 star standard but it was disgusting sleeping in hairs. Food - arrived at 21:00 to be told restaurant is no longer open yet other people were having dinner in it. Breakfast was a let down Spa - told it's closed fine but it does not even open in the morning only functions in the afternoon Staff could not care less 208 EUR paid for one night in this MOTEL must be the worst value for money. We ended up walking around trying to find food in the evening so horrible and then only to come back in a room full of hair and broken wardrobe where the handle came out I plan to report to health and safety. Other people at breakfast also complained dregaridng horrible sleeping uncomfortable matteses and bad pillows. This is 2 star hotel at best. Service is at that level too. I have stayed in so many hotels around the world never seen such quality and lack of standard. Even after showing them pictures of the hairs in the bed they could not be bothered wanted to give me some 200 ml cream which I did not need or want in any case absurd for people flying and for sure makes no difference to the worst night sleep in my life as id I slept on a bench in the park would have been...
Read moreI’ve given 3/5 as I like to be honest and fair and I would say 3.5 if I could give 5.||- Il just list where it can be better. |The breakfast is very average. It’s cheese, ham, beads, croissants, fruit. There is a hotel down the road that serves salmon, scrambled eggs and pancakes included in its hotel price and that’s like half the price of here. ||- Do not stay in Room 2, it is incredibly noisy if your not getting up at the crack of dawn, you can hear them getting ready for breakfast, people walking up and down the stairs next to the room and when people flush the toilet in the middle of the night it sounds like water is literally running down the room, the pipes must be built in the walls as it’s incredibly noisy.||It is a lovely hotel but I do think it is a little over priced for what it offers.||The upside of the hotel is:|Location - you can walk to the beach and the harbour and multiple restaurants within a couple of minutes. It’s in the centre of the town so close to the shops and great coffee spots! ||The rooms are clean and tidy and reasonably sized. Some are bigger than others. ||I didn’t experience the spa as didn’t have time but weird you have to book an appointment to visit it and use the facilities. I suppose this is because it’s small. ||The staff are also lovely but sometimes you do have to wait a while or ask multiple times for something. ||It’s been a lovely stay but not sure I’d go back to...
