The hotel is located fairly close to the railway station, restaurants and the water.|We were travelling with our 3 teenage grandchildren, one who was staying at this hotel with us and two who decided to stay at another hotel, (economics).|We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived, as we were planning to quickly book in and then accompany the other two to their hotel. However, as we were welcomed and the booking confirmed, the receptionist asked about the other two and offered to arrange for their transfer to their respective hotel by their own hotel vehicle. Very convenient for our group.|The two rooms that were assigned were both very comfortable and clean and had their own balcony.|NB: (We had stayed at Santa Margherita Ligure before on two previous occasions but the particular hotel we had stayed at was undergoing a refurbishment so we had opted for the Jolanda hotel and were not at all disappointed).|As mentioned previously, we were within close walking distance from the railway station, the restaurants and more particularly the water for both swimming and ferry access.|The included breakfasts that we had were fresh and plentiful and the attending staff were efficient and courteous. |On the day that we left we had arranged for a hotel transfer to the nearby Rapallo station for both our group of three, and, also for the other two grandchildren from their hotel,as we to catch an early train to Rome. Read moreCharming hotel with an excellent staff. We stayed for one night, came to the hotel and checked in our rooms. One of the rooms had a broken a/c. The front desk told us to carry on with our day and go out like we wanted to and they will fix it. We wanted to go to the beach and asked for beach towels, we had no 5 euros on us for the security deposit and offered to pay in American dollars and they said it’s okay no need to pay but please bring them back and have us the towels and when they saw that we had no beach bag they gave us the towels on a beach bag. We came back to a different room because they couldn’t fix the ac in the first room. They sent a staff member to help us move our luggage. The second room had a broken ac as well so we told them on our way out and when we came back at the end of the night they told us to go check and if we need a new room we can leave our luggage in the room and just go sleep in a new room that has a good ac! They were very accommodating and eager to please. The breakfast was good. Loved the staff and how kind they were. We will be back...
Read moreWe have stayed at Hotel Jolanda many times over the past 14 years. We continue to come back because we like that it is a boutique hotel and in a very convenient location. We had a junior suite and it was fantastic.|Breakfast is OK with a reasonable selection. Quality was average. |We had always previously being very happy with the staff. This was the longer the case. Two men at the desk were not friendly during check-in and failed to greet us any time we walked by, even when we greeted them. The lady who was at the desk when we left was very pleasant and helpful. We also used the valet parking service, which is great, although the valet himself not pleasant.|Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much, but having staff that seem to care about the guests a little more would’ve made this...
