We’re on our last night in Italy and we were really excited to try this place as the menu and reviews look good. We reserved a table for 8:30pm on Friday so expected it to be busy - we arrived on time. Unfortunately, the service was very poor. Our wine came quickly enough but without glasses which we had to ask for. Other tables seemed to be treated considerably better and quicker. We were given bread but other tables received a box of olive oil, vinegar etc, again this was not given to us. We asked twice about the status of our food as other tables who sat much later were served first and had even finished their food. After 40 minutes our pasta arrived. The food itself was good, although the lasagne was lukewarm (at this point I was just happy to have something). Our starter of melon arrived 45 minutes after we ordered and after the main courses. Overall, we were extremely disappointed. Another server seemed more proactive in helping us get some food and we appreciate that it is a busy service but it felt like had we not said anything, we would still be waiting now. Would...
Read moreI order dish from menu and it said rosted veal WITH SIDE DISH...I got a plate with veal with no side dish. After i ask waiter for side dish, he said 2 minutes, i waited for 10 minutes and had to ask diferent waiter 2 more times to get potatos...so my girlfriend already finished her meal before i even started with mine. Also noone from staff could speak a single word of english so it is really hard almost impossible to comunicate or ask for aditional information.
Replay to owner's answer: I talked to 3 servers and the cashier noone spoke english! Is not my job to look aroud restorant for a person who speak english. I got side dish 10 minutes later not in a few minutes you can check cameras if u have them. I paid for side dish potato 6e, so it was not a kitchen probem if on menu says : veal with side dish, but i had to pay extra...

Food was some of the best we’ve had on our 8 day trip eating at restaurants once or twice a day. We had their pesto linguine, stuffed sardines, caprese salad (the local cheese used is memorable to say the least), and assorted home made pies. We ended with a great apple pie and an amaretto dessert we’ve had and enjoyed before (forgetting the name) but their version was even better. We also asked for digestivo at the end of the meal (one sweet, and one bitter), the recommendations were knocked out of the park. Mine was a sweet basil!!! liquor made locally and my husbands was an Amaro from Genoa. We are trying to find the basil liquor to bring home.
Homemade, local, unpretentious, original, welcoming.
Point is we are making sure to go back on Thursday...
