Angolo Palma — Restaurant in Santa Margherita Ligure

Sadly a place that believes a restaurant can charge for a sea front. We found ourselves at this place after an exhausting day surrounded by rain. We ordered pasta con buro, roasted octopus and grilled fish assorti. Pasta literally came as a bowl of billed pasta with a load of butter on top. Octopus was like a old balloon dipped in chilli - rubery and causing stomach pain. Fish assorti had one small sword wish steak, 2 shrimps, 2 linguistiques, 2 st. Jaques and a load of grilled veg. All sea food was clearly frozen before and not frozen well. Bill - 75 eur, which is a fair price for this area, but no one should charge anything for food that is horrible... a restaurant should never lose passion for...

Ate here as a walk in as due to weather other options were scaled down and fully booked. House Red wine like vinegar, my husbands pizza was very nice but a 1 star rating for my lasagne!!! Although tasty enough the serving was EMBARRASSING for €13!!!! Which equates to AUD $20 Picture this, a €5 note, the lasagne was smaller than that served on a large white plate!!! To be completely honest we have not been WOWED by our experience of Italian food quality & value on this trip post pandemic!!! Oh but wait, there is always the €3 per person service charge so we ALL know who’s winning!?! Warning to tourists: be savvy, yes we are on holiday BUT we are not adding to another countries economy to be completely...

Authentic Italian Dining at Its Best – Angola Palma, Santa Margherita We chose Angola Palma for our Easter Sunday lunch, and it was an incredible choice! The atmosphere is warm and authentically Italian, and the wood-fired pizzas are absolutely top-notch – crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. A solid 10/10.

Despite being packed with Easter diners, the staff were friendly, attentive, and on top of everything – such great service.

The desserts were the perfect finish: the tiramisu was rich and creamy, and the apple pie was just as impressive. Both easily 10/10 as well.
