Museo delle Illusioni — Attraction in Syracuse

Visita profondamente deludente. Il personale presente fa del proprio meglio – e va detto, si impegna con gentilezza e disponibilità – ma è evidente che siano lasciati a gestire una struttura che, al di là del nome accattivante, offre ben poco.

Il biglietto costa 14€ a persona, cifra assolutamente sproporzionata per un percorso che propone illusioni visive ormai superate, che avrebbero potuto incuriosire forse un decennio fa. Nessuna innovazione, nessun vero effetto "wow", solo qualche stanza mal climatizzata e poco coinvolgente.

A rendere il tutto ancor più inaccettabile, una sala è chiusa "per restauro", nonostante si sia in piena stagione turistica. Non si tratta di un problema temporaneo: da ciò che leggo, questa situazione va avanti da oltre un mese, se non di più. Eppure il prezzo pieno continua ad essere applicato senza alcuna riduzione né avviso preventivo.

Il culmine dell’inadeguatezza è l’assenza di un impianto di climatizzazione funzionante. Visitare il museo ad agosto, tra pareti strette e locali senza aria condizionata, si trasforma in un'esperienza fisicamente spiacevole, al limite del sopportabile. I visitatori escono letteralmente grondanti di sudore.

Ritengo scorretto – e aggiungo, poco etico – lucrare sull’ingenuità dei turisti, illudendoli (in perfetta coerenza col nome del museo) di vivere un’esperienza immersiva che nei fatti si rivela un concentrato di disorganizzazione, incuria e...

You pay €14 per adult and there are 3 or 4 rooms that you can go into and take photos. Most deco is dated and unattractive. You can maybe get a few decent photo from your visit. Would I recommend it? Only if you have nothing better to do with money to waste.

Extremely disappointed. Archimedes would be turning in his grave. The biggest illusion was the marketing for the exhibit. Extortionate price for 5 rooms of tired exhibits that look like they had been put together by a first year student 10 years ago. Save your money and spend your time walking the beautiful streets. I would just like to end by saying the staff member that was there was lovely and trying her best, but her embarrassment of the whole thing...
