We stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant by chance, after deciding not to wait in a long queue at another spot, and I'm so glad we did! This place turned out to be an amazing discovery.

The food was absolutely fantastic. For two people, we ordered four different starters: Caponata, Polpo, Misto Crudi, and Sarde Fritte. Each dish was incredibly flavorful, and we could really appreciate the quality and freshness of all the ingredients.

On the staff's recommendation, we also tried the focaccia as a side, which was an excellent choice. They brought out some local olive oil to accompany the focaccia, and the combination was simply divine.

To complement our meal, we chose a white wine, a delightful blend of Grillo and Caricante, which was really, really good.

The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, but we were completely satisfied with just the starters. However, we did see other dishes being served at nearby tables, and they all looked equally tempting.

The staff here are exceptionally nice and kind, taking great care to ensure that every customer feels welcome and well-attended.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic...

Best food experience in Ortigia in 4 days. The owner is passionate about producing Sicilian cuisine with local ingredients. We were enticed by the simple and tastefully curated collection of local produce as we passed by. The owner, engaged us in conversation and was proud to talk about his local products. He immediately convinced us of his passion and we decided to stay. There is limited seating but we found an outdoor table and were quickly enjoying a bottle of grillo (local white grape variety) and shared starters of local cozze (mussels) polpo (octopus), and frittura (fried small fish). The focaccia that had just popped out of the oven was an added bonus! This was followed with plates of home made pasta, one with ricci (sea urchins) and Nero di siepe (black squid ink). A delicious and authentic meal. The service was friendly and efficient and we cannot wait to...

We stumbled across this spot late at night looking for a place to grab a bite to eat. We had just made it to Sicily from the ferry and this was our very first meal here. It was incredible. The people were so warm and inviting, the focaccia was some of the best we've ever had, the caponata to die for, the pastas delicious and the deconstructed cannolo was divine. Every other meal we ate in Sicily (and we had many delicious meals!) didn't even come close to this spot. Our only regret was not coming back the next night for more. This will be our first stop the next time we're in Syracusa. Amazing food, amazing place amazing people! Highest...

We passed by and checked the 4.5 stars review so decided to have lunch there. Basically they encourage every table to order a focaccia which is as big as half a pizza no matter what you order. We had two pasta. The seafood one was with all tiny frozen squids and shrimps. The syracusana pasta contained anchovies but were in reality huge inedible bones (see in photo) At the end they charge you €2 per person for coperto which is common in Italy but at least you are served with bread. Here nothing but still 2 euros each. Do avoid!
