Giardini di Villa d'Este — Attraction in Tivoli

Even if I visited Tivoli many times ever before this is the first time I have made it. The Villa d'Este is a 16th-century villa in Tivoli, famous for its terraced hillside Italian Renaissance garden and especially for its profusion of fountains. It is now an Italian state museum and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

I've posted several times over the past five years: The pianist-composer Franz Liszt made several visits between 1865 and 1885, and wrote three pieces of piano music, the title "Les Jeux d'eaux à la Villa d'Este”.
