Ended up here by chance (looking for another cafe which happened to be closed).
The place is amazing. Highlights (other than the gelato) were: it is immaculately clean a really nice layout with a range of seating areas decoration and music gave a nice chilled vibe staff were patient and helped us with information that we needed toilets were very clean
In terms of the gelato, we have eaten a lot over the last few weeks and all agreed that this was the best! They aren't displayed so you can see them, however using an online translate tool helped us work out what they were from the board. It almost added to the excitement seeing what they looked like when they were served!
Excellent value for money for the serving size, €3.50 for two scoops. We also selected a crumble pot to take away and eat on the train, which was a bargain treat at only €6.
Would definitely recommend here. We agreed we would visit the place all the time, as well as purchase the cakes or takeaway pots for people if we lived...
Read moreVisiting Gelateria La Romana in Verona was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I stepped inside, the warm and inviting atmosphere made me feel right at home. The shop was beautifully decorated, with a clean and modern design that still felt cozy.
I tried their pistachio and fior di latte gelato, and I was blown away. The pistachio was incredibly creamy and had a deep, roasted flavor that tasted so natural and fresh. The fior di latte was pure and delicate, almost like eating a cloud. The texture of the gelato was perfection—smooth, rich, and velvety.
The staff were so friendly and patient, happily explaining the flavors and helping me decide. Despite the line, the service was quick and efficient, and I could tell this place is loved by both locals and tourists.

Read moreWe came here just before the store closed and got the flavours mint with chocolate, mango, dark chocolate and cheesecake. It was definitely one of the best ice creams we had in Verona as it was fresh and homemade. The cheesecake flavour was fantastic as well as the dark chocolate. Sadly the chocolate sauce wasn’t available anymore as they were out of it. However, this Gelateria doesn’t get 5 stars because of the state of the restrooms during our visit. They were simply not cleaned and contained a lot of dirt from other customers. We would recommend that the Gelateria clean the restrooms quite regularly in order to avoid customer dissatisfaction. Other than that we were extremely satisfied with the flavours we had and would definitely come back and visit the...
