Ru Yi — Restaurant in Verona

We found this restaurant on our trip to Italy when we were tired of a week of pizzas and pastas. The restaurant was nicely decorated with beautiful wooden carvings on the wall. The price was lower than a moderate Italian restaurant. Most importantly, the food was fantastic. Coming from San Francisco Bay Area where we can find more than 20 Chinese restaurants within ten minutes of drive, this restaurant way exceeded our expectations. The food is of southern China type. Every dish was good and delicious. Try some shell fish if you don't mind being messy . Huanton soup was excellent. Chaomian was very good. Having had Italian cuisine for two weeks, it was a welcomed change to have some Asian cuisine. Vegetables and rice were all we wanted and we found this Chinese restaurant near Castelvecchio. The food was pretty good and the staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable. We had sweet and sour soup, spring rolls, mixed vegetables, sautéed eggplants, tofu, funghi, and bamboo with steamed rice and some nice house wines. Food tastes ok but very rude service. Three of us came to visit Verona. As the only Chinese, my two friends would like me to take to a Chinese restaurant. I have never been to Verona so a bit randomly picked this one. Asking for hot water for three of us, was told can only give me one as they said my other two friends already ordered tea and their water comes from coffee machine.
