à la ringo is one of the vendors inside A-Factory that has souvenir items to buy as well as fresh desserts to eat. The fact that they are located inside A-Factory means that it becomes quite difficult to choose between what A-Factory is offering versus what à la ringo sells. There is so many products to choose from. For me the best thing to do was to just try the fresh stuff.

So I ordered their apple pie and the apple and milk soft serve. The apple pie is kind of your run of the mill offering. Not too sweet, not too tart, I wouldn't come running for this but it is acceptable. It kind of has a "mass produced" factory kind of taste to it. The ice cream on the other hand is a must try, at least once. There's something unique about apple flavored ice cream. It's not a common flavor and à la ringo did it right here. I would say the apple and milk combination doesn't necessarily go together, but for some reason, it does work. The milk flavor actually contrasts the apple a lot but ends up balancing it, or acts like a palette cleanser. It's quite hard to describe but the sweet/tart apple flavor may be overwhelming on it's own. I'm glad to have chosen the combination but I'd go back just to try the apple on it's own.

The seating is shared with every other vendor in the building. If you come during rush/lunch/dinner hour, it will be crowded and you may not find a seat. The staff was friendly and service was quick. Took almost no time to get both the ice cream and pie.

With so much to try, à la ringo will take multiple visits to fully appreciate what they have to offer. Although my visit wasn't a "home run", I'd still like to try the rest of the menu as well as the souvenirs. The ice cream alone is worth coming back for...

たまたま立ち寄ったA-factoryで、たまたま出会ったのがこのお店でした。 翌日八甲田山に登る予定だったので、山のオヤツにとアップルパイを購入することに。 選んだのは青リンゴ「はつ恋ぐりん」。青リンゴのアップルパイは珍しいな、と思いこちらを購入。 翌日山でいただいたところ、1日経っているとは思えないパイのサクサク感にまず驚きました。さそして中のフィリングの美味しいこと！ちょうどよく残ったリンゴの食感がパイのサクサクとマッチしていました。そして、ちょこっと入っているカシスの酸味がアクセントに。底に入っているダマンド生地が食べ応えを増していました。 これまでに食べたアップルパイの中でも、3本の指に入るくらいの美味しさで、1つしか購入してこなかったことを心底悔やみました。 ネットで購入できるようなので、次はオーブンで焼き戻...
