Atami in Japan is well-known for its hot springs, but if you're pressed for time, I’d recommend popping by the famous shopping street and the local art galleries. However, if you’ve got a bit more time on your hands, I’d strongly suggest giving glassblowing a go at this workshop. Across many of Japan’s tourist spots, you’ll find pottery and glasswork studios offering hands-on experiences, and this one in Atami provides a proper glassblowing session.
That said, I’m not entirely sure if the staff speak English, and the workshop isn’t particularly wheelchair-friendly. While you could probably get by with a translation app, the experience might be tricky if you're in a wheelchair. It’s definitely worth getting in touch with them beforehand to check.
