Myself, my friend and her family stayed here for three nights during our time in beppu. This quaint little hotel is conveniently located near the station and run by a beautiful and friendly little family. The private onsens (ryokan) are a great touch and were a joy to use everyday. I cannot stress enough how friendly and accomdating the staff are to their quests. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Excellent Ryokan , traditionally old fashioned and of impeccable cleanliness. Managed by 2 old ladies that do not speak any English , but one can always get by . Beware of closing at 11pm and no way to check in before 4pm. Apart from those strict rules , all is perfect in the best Japanese aesthetics. Tatami rooms , décoration, 2 nice onsens etc . Strongly recommended . 3mn from Beppu JR station.
