Beppu Station — Attraction in Beppu

Beppu Station is a train, bus, and taxi interchange in the city of Beppu. Compared to other city stations Beppu Station is quite small, though it's still very sizeable. The station is home to a Family Mart, shops, cafes, a tourist and a information area. Beppu Station also has a public bathroom you can use.

When I caught the train here, I was able to redeem my JR Kyushu Rail pass and get a ticket on the iconic Limited Express Sonic train to Hakata, Fukuoka. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and we were able to communicate well. They also helped me to understand where my seat was, and where I could put my oversized luggage.

Beppu Station is a great train station. Whether you're entering or leaving the great city of Beppu, you'll find everything you need here. Plus with the bus links, you'll be able to get to or from here with ease.

If you are an English speaker and are needing help, the English speaking staff at Beppu Station is so incredibly nice and helpful! They have been helping us as soon as we arrived with information, even buying us back some tickets we didn't need in the end. Also if you have the luck to have the lady guide asking you if you want to be guided in the city, be sure to say yes! She is probably one of the most sweet and adorable person we have met in Japan, and she has even been running after us outside to give us some more really helpful information. I was really sad to didn't say yes for her guiding us because I was too shy to have someone helping, so don't do the same mistake than us! one of the ticket machines doesn't work on the day we arrived. the queue were so long both for the rest ticket machines and JR ticket counter. the JR staff was very helpful and speak fluent english. the staff of the one day bus ticket booth was really kind and speak good english as well . if you tell her your plan for beppu, she would give perfect recommendation for your trip. they even provided handwriting bus route map which was really helpful and easy...
