I recently stayed at Fujisan Station Hotel and had a fantastic experience. The hotel is conveniently located just a short walk away from Mt. Fuji Station, making it easy to explore the area. The rooms were impressively spacious, providing plenty of room to relax and unwind. Not only were they spacious, but they were also impeccably clean and quiet, ensuring a peaceful stay. During my stay at Fujisan Station Hotel, I was pleased with the friendly and attentive staff. They were always ready to assist and made me feel welcome throughout my stay. Their helpfulness and warm demeanor added to the overall positive experience at the hotel. Stepping outside the hotel, I was greeted by a breathtaking view of Mt. Fuji. It was a sight to behold. Additionally, the presence of vending machines and washing machines within the hotel was incredibly convenient. It made it easy to grab a refreshing drink or satisfy any late-night cravings. The availability of washing machines meant that I could keep up with laundry even during my travels, making my stay more comfortable. The price-performance ratio of this hotel is very good.

Despite my initial thought that it might be an old building, the hotel felt very modern and fresh. The staff were incredibly welcoming right from the start. Even though I wasn't feeling my best during check-in, they were super patient and helpful. The breakfast was simple but just right, served in a quaint restaurant that had a great vibe and offered a beautiful view. There are also vending machines by the lobby for when you need a quick snack or drink. Our room was spacious compared to other hotels we’ve stayed at in Japan at a similar price point, with lovely amenities that made our stay comfortable. What's more, the hotel is just a short walk from Fujisan Station, and you can catch an amazing view of Mount Fuji right from the front of the hotel. I’d definitely recommend Fujisan Station Hotel for a comfortable and convenient stay.

I loved the convenient location, just steps away from Mt. Fuji Station and the bus stop. The station also has coin lockers in various sizes to meet all your storage needs, which was really handy. This was my first experience with Japanese hospitality, and it exceeded my expectations. The counter staff were so warm and polite that it made me realize my usual level of niceness just didn't compare! The rooms were spacious, spotless, and well-equipped with all the necessary toiletries—like toothbrushes, toothpaste, towels, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner—as well as useful amenities such as hangers, a fridge, kettle, air conditioner, and hair dryer. Breakfast was a delightful buffet in a peaceful, well-lit dining area, which was perfect for fueling up on calories before a day of hiking Mt. Fuji. Overall, a wonderful stay!

We stayed here as a group of 8 adults and 2 young children. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for anyone with children or anyone who needs wheelchair access. For such a new hotel they don't have an access ramp by the door, it's just stairs. You'll have to carry your luggage up or your kids stroller. If you're in a wheel chair then you're basically screwed. We asked about a ramp but we were told they didn't have one. There appeared up be one close to the breakfast area doors but they wouldn't let anyone use it.

We ended up staying in two different room types because of a booking mishap that was our fault. The first room was two beds pushed together which was nice. The second room was just a double bed or queen bed. We all booked the same type of room but some of us got bigger beds. Also when they assisted with the room change they moved our stuff from one fridge to another but didn't turn the fridge on. My kids milk spoiled and after complaining they replaced it.

They also refused to give extra pillows after we changed rooms saying each room only gets two pillows. But on our first night each room had 4 pillows. Something seemingly so simple they could not provide

The location of the hotel isn't that great. It's close to the station that has a Daiso and a few food options but there isn't a convenient store nearby. You have to walk at least 15 minutes.

The provided breakfast isn't very good. We have had our share of Japanese Hotel breakfasts and this was the poorest. They had the same food every single day and everything was either just boiled or steamed and flavorless. They also only serve breakfast 7-9 and one morning there wasn't any seating so we had to wait.

The hotel was pretty clean and some of the staff was nice but I wouldn't...

I lucked out and was given a larger bedroom than standard. It was a twin room with ample space between the beds and at the foot of the beds for my large suitcase. ||||The bed had a duvet with a cover which only covered one side which I didn't think was very hygienic (I realise it's a typical Japanese style) and one pillow filled with seeds and the other was a softer tempura style pillow. ||||The bathroom was small but functional. The towels were small and thin and only one was provided. There was mould on the shower curtain.||||The room lighting was ok and the air conditioning worked well. Unfortunately there were no English language channels on TV. There was one desk with a chair. A cupboard and good sized safe which wasn't fixed to the cupboard and a fridge. ||||Wi-Fi was poor and kept on dropping in and out. I tried changing rooms but there was no improvement. ||||The hotel offered free parking and it was just over the road from the train and bus station. I was able to catch a bus from there to Tokyo Haneda airport very easily. That said, booking it was a nightmare because the bus company wouldn't take internet bookings and the hotel refused to help me reserve a seat. ||||The breakfast was ok with enough western choices such as cereal, yoghurt and croissants. The restaurant was a nice bright room. ||||I used the hotel washing machine and dryers (for a small fee). They worked well although the machines were a bit dirty.||||No English was spoken at reception so communication was difficult.||||There were a few restaurants within walking distance (or if you drove with parking). 7 Elevens were about 10 minutes walk away.
