As a huge Gundam fan, I was totally hyped to see this thing in person. And let me tell you, it does not disappoint. This mecha stands over 18 meters tall, and the attention to detail is off the charts. Every panel, thruster, and surface element is spot on - it's like they straight-up plucked the suit right out of the anime.
But the best part is the way they've brought the Gundam to life with some next-level projection mapping tech. The whole statue lights up and moves, making it feel like the machine is actually powering up right in front of you. It's a full-on sensory experience, and it totally immerses you in the Gundam universe.
The area around the statue is dope too. They've got comfy spots to chill and take it all in, plus interactive kiosks where you can check out merch and even try some VR Gundam stuff. It's like a one-stop shop for any mecha fanatic.
Seriously, if you're even remotely into Gundam, you gotta make the trip to Fukuoka Lalaport. This statue is a straight-up work of art, and it's an absolute must-see for any fan. Trust me, you'll...

The mall hosts a lighting show every hour, such as at 6 PM, 7 PM, and so on. During the show, a large LED TV on the wall of LaLaport plays an animated movie with sound effects and some colour spotlights that illuminate the Gundam statue. Impressively, Gundam’s right hand also moves with the animation, adding to the excitement of the...
