Danrinji Temple — Attraction in Kyoto

I never knew those Japanese national treasures and important cultural properties were transferred from Tokyo/Kyoto/Nara national museums and stored here under such low conditions and security!

As entrance displays indicated, some items were used to be rented out for national art galleries, and we can view some (important) cultural properties

Now I see the description were intentionally chosen expecting for our misleading…

奥嵯峨を散策中たまたま通りかかり、面の看板が気になり入ってみました。 受付はあるのに人がおらず、拝観料等どうすれば…と困っていたら掃除をしていた年配の男性が対応してくれました。 お金を払ってパンフレットを受け取り、さあ中を見ようと思ったらその男性のお話がはじまりました。 こちらのお寺の説明、この周辺の歴史について等々。 色々と聞かせていただきました。 その方に皇帝ダリアが綺麗に咲いているから、是非見ていってくれと薦められました。 とても立派に咲いていました。 庭園はこじんまりしていましたが、手入れは行き届いている印象でした。 本堂に入ると一本木の昇り竜などがあり、簡単に説明をしていただきました。 参拝客は私達を含めて数人… 御朱印は書置きでした。手書きの書置きのなかと思ったら、よく見るとパソコンで印刷したようなものでガッカリしました。 正直そんなに参拝客が来そうにもないのに書置き…それも手書きなのは日付のみ。年月日の日のみが手書きという事にとても残念な気持ちになりました。余りにもお粗末なのでは。
