We chanced upon this hidden gem on the way down from another temple. We saw the sign for the Goshuin and went in to have a look. The two ladies manning the store greeted us very welcoming-ly and showed us the available Goshuins for the day. It was about 1000 yen but it was worth every cent as it was hand drawn, very beautiful and it occupied two pages of my book. In addition to this, there was also a wide variety of hand drawn items that can be purchased which were all very affordable.
If I ever have the opportunity, I would definitely come back again.

Inside there are a huge variety of beautiful stamp pages for goshuin book as well as many other crafted items.
I went a bit before 16:00. The door was closed (due to cold), but the lady was there when I came in and said hello.

Read moreReally gorgeous little temple, the ladies there are really nice and allowed us to take our time choosing the goshuins 😄 It's a small family-run temple so you can see where their little goshuin stations are and don't be surprised if the family members walk past !
The ladies there are really well organised, with one manning the counter and another helping out with visitors!
Only wish there's more time to learn about the temple and origins as it was quite busy...
