Came to this restaurant specially after reading good reviews and we were not disappointed. It's just around the corner from Nison-ji Temple. Welcoming look from outside. Inside, there were normal tables for four. We had the privilege of sitting at the tatami table for four, although we had numb legs at the end of the meal. Hahaha! We tried the conger eel, tempura vegetables and buta don with cold udon. They were really crispy, tasty and of good price. Ended the meal with ice coffee. It had strong roast and refreshing on a hot day. It was quite full but there was no queue as some people just left when there were no tables available. Service was efficient but you would need to wait for the food to be prepared.

Read moreI went on a two week trip with a bunch of friends. I have a few memories that will last forever, but the one I won't shut up about is the transcendent bowl of udon I ate here. More than a meal, it was a full experience and every bite was perfect. I don't know if I will ever be back in Japan, but if I am, I will do whatever it takes in a day to make it back to this location to once again order the Nabeyaki Udon! I am forever changed as a person.

Decor is very homey and their meal set has a lot of elements to it but I didn't feel bloated or heavy. We ate late lunch here so there was no line.
