Izusen Sagano — Restaurant in Kyoto

The English menu contains four different sets, the two most expensive ones being vegetarian. We had the ¥2700 and ¥3200 sets which both came in cute boxes containing various small pieces of food. Both were similar, but the ¥3200 box had slightly fewer pieces of food, and had a side dish of tempura. Overall an interesting lunch of apparently traditional Kyoto food, with some items nicer than others. We also had a matcha that came with mochi and was served after the meal. This restaraunt simply fed one of THE most amazing meals I have ever eaten. I am a big meat eater, but as I wanted the cultural experience of Buddhist vegetarian dining, I thought I would try the Teppachi meal ( one which is spread out into a multi course meal in varying sized bowls which stack into each other when finished).
