If you're looking for an authentic Japanese tea ceremony, 浄敬庵 JOUKEIAN is the perfect place! The owner is an incredibly kind and hospitable woman, whose thoughtfulness shines through every aspect of the experience. From the beautifully arranged garden at the entrance and backyard to the meticulously kept tea room decorations, every detail feels intentional and serene.

At the start, we were welcomed with a refreshing sweet drink (perfectly balanced—not too sweet) in the entry room. In the tea room, we were treated to a delicious home-cooked Japanese meal (small plates of local Japanese ingredients) and green tea (very rich), making the experience even more special. I also gained a deeper appreciation for the history and customs of chado (the Way of Tea) through her insightful explanations.
