Description
Unryū-in is a sub-temple of Sennyū-ji in Kyoto, Japan. Founded in 1372, it was rebuilt after destruction in the Ōnin War. The Hondō of 1646 is an Important Cultural Property. The Hōjō or abbot's quarters also date from the Edo period.

I went to this temple two weeks ago and that's the best part of my Kyoto trip. The entrance is not easy to find but as long as you are following the guide from the Google map,you will find it.

Nice little temple with option to add a matcha and treat on for 1000 yen, although it’s not a tea ceremony that’s made in front of you. Nice small gardens, not as well maintained as other temples but still relaxing. There’s a few rooms to contemplate and an area to meditate whilst having your feet on...
