Mangetsu Main Store — Attraction in Kyoto

A 「Shinise」 that sells traditional Japanese snack, the Wagashi. There are a ton of customers any time of the week but there are three clerks to help you and the store is quite large, unlike the Konpeito place across the road. The expiration date is way too short though; the clerk advised me to eat it in five says. Perhaps not the bestest item for a tourist to buy as a souvenir but hey, the Japanese people, well known to have high standards, gave it 4.5 stars out of 5. So far one of my favourite Japanese confectionery. Purchased 10 pieces of the famous あじゃりもち. There were other people waited in line and needed to wait for a while. The room next door is the production area but it was closed with curtains. When I received my order, the mochi were still warm. Ate them at home a few hours later (and some for the next day) and they were still tasted as good as the warm ones. The expired date is 5 days after production so I guess they're perfect for short...

A friend from KYOTO has GIFTED me this Japanese Traditional Sweet Cake. She said it is famous from Kyoto. After consumed it, its taste wasn't so sweet, soft cake. Children, old folks or everyone is suitable for it. APPRECIATE and THANKS to her for letting me knew and tasted this...
