Visited in November 2024. Was quite overcrowded. I came in within probably 45 minutes of the shrine closing and spent most of that time waiting in line to purchase an ema. They have a neat little area with colored pencils and stations set up where you can decorate your ema. Absolutely gorgeous shrine. I can tell that the shrine maidens here are quite tired of the crowds and tourists. I can't blame them. Even just standing in the line to purchase charms, I was pushed and shoved around by other visitors.
