My Only Fragrance KIYOMIZU /custom-made fragrance shop — Attraction in Kyoto

Absolutely amazing, found this place through instagram and thought we should try it out. We booked an appointment through instagram. The appointment is about 30 minutes long. It’s super close to the pagoda in the older part of Kyoto. The process was super easy to understand and the workers there were super friendly. We worked with Okada to create our perfumes. She was super friendly and helpful. It’s a great price for the size of the bottle and for the fact it is custom made. Had a great time and definitely would recommend. Make sure to book an appointment ahead of time to guarantee a spot. Also if you are someone who likes to take their time picking out your scents, I would recommend getting there about 10-15 minutes early so you can start testing the scents and keeping in mind which ones you like. This place wasn’t on my radar for Kyoto intially, happened to see it while in the area early in the morning. My travel buddy is a scent enthusiast so we made a reservation online (admittedly, this is difficult.. but worth the tinkering on the stores Instagram to snag a res) for another location in town. We happen to walk by this location at around 5 PM and they let us in to make two custom fragrances, even though we didn’t have a reservation at this particular store. Moriuchi was really enthusiastic and helpful while we were sniffing various fragrances to make our own custom perfumes, and he was nice enough to adjust my perfume until I was perfectly happy with it. I loved making a custom label for my bottle and they even printed it in Japanese! I recently had the pleasure of visiting My Only Fragrance in Kyoto, and it was truly a wonderful experience. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by the cheerful and friendly atmosphere.

Tanaka, in particular, was incredibly helpful and enthusiastic, guiding me through the process of creating my very own signature scent.
