There is a covered shady area with benches and a nice breeze where you eat your picnic and catch a glimpse of the mountains. It's very quiet and serene with several people reading or eating a quiet lunch. On the other side is a sandy, open field, perhaps for playing sports. Further up the stairs is a stage with cement benches. This playground is inside Funaokayama Park so you can go for a walk.
