It is a little awkward to get to because it is literally in a residential neighborhood. If you take a cab, they can drop you off right there, but we walked from the closest bus stop. It was a nice walk, but we were unsure of whether or not we had the right address since we just kept seeing residences and a school as we walked.
There are only seats enough for 6-8 inside. When we went, it was just us and another couple that was finishing up from the seating before us. It is a very intimate atmosphere. Shimizu-san works quietly and his wife was our main conversationalist while we were there. It was an amazing Kaiseki experience and we truly enjoyed every dish. The chef pours a lot of love into his dishes and the attention to detail are amazing. The taste was amazing and we were so happy to enjoy this experience. His wife served us and she is so sweet and both explained every dish and helped to translate so we knew what we were eating....
