Bit of a rant I'm afraid! We have just experienced the very worst customer service, not only in Japan, but I would suggest any where in the world. Customers form the core of every business, and I cannot see how this one can stay in business. We had our hotel make a booking the day before for a manicure with Atelier Haruka Plus Eyelash Manicure House in the Nagoya Esca centre at Nagoya Station. Our hotel printed the confirmation of our appointment at 5:40pm, highlighting the importance of not being late. The hotel then confirmed the appointment for us the morning of the appointment. We arrived very early to the salon to see if there was an earlier appointment at 3:30pm but it was confirmed again that our 5:40pm appointment was the only one available. We filled in time and came back at 5:30pm, again to be prompt for our 5:40pm booking. We were asking to wait in their waiting area and watched another lady get her nails done. At this stage our appointment was now 1 hour late, we were thanked for being patient and another 1/2hour went by. We were then asked what hotel we were staying at and they called them to say we couldn’t be seen. The staff at the salon told us that the hotel had in-fact made a discrepancy in our booking and that it was in fact the hotels fault. We were patient waiting because of the language barrier, this is why we got our hotel to make the booking and our booking was confirmed 3 times. The two staff openly lied to us and our hotel, they are not worthy of honour or respect. We wasted 3 1/2 hours at this salon and feel horrible how they treated us. They cannot convey their personal or business values nor their appalling attitude towards their customers, their efforts are meaningless. Our hotel staff are now highly embarrassed for recommending them, our hotel staff have gone above and beyond to apologize. I’m not usually one to complain, sorry, please go to any other business...
