Disappointing Stay at Nagoya Tokyu hotel

I recently had the opportunity to stay at Nagoya Tokyu hotel, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. From the closed swimming pool and public bathhouse exclusively for those over 18 to the pervasive smell of cigarettes and the dated facilities with dim lighting, this hotel fell short of expectations.

One of the major disappointments was the closed swimming pool and public bathhouse, which were limited to guests over 18 years old. This restriction was not adequately communicated during the booking process, leaving me and other guests anticipating access to these facilities only to be denied upon arrival. one of the ridiculous point is they offer special 'discount' the facilities including fitness club, pool, sauna etc. only for the guest stay in the hotel. the others have to pay annual resistration fee for special club member. but just search images about their facilities... it is 80's antique.

Moreover, the overwhelming smell of cigarettes that permeated throughout the hotel was truly off-putting. Despite the hotel's policies presumably prohibiting smoking in non-designated areas, the acrid odor was unmistakable and affected the overall ambiance and comfort of the stay.

The outdated facilities and dim lighting further detracted from the experience. The hotel seemed to lack recent renovations, and the gloomy lighting made it difficult to enjoy the common areas and even navigate the hallways comfortably. It was evident that the hotel needed modernization and refurbishment to match contemporary expectations for a pleasant stay.

Adding to the disappointments was the ambiguous location of the hotel. It was not well-marked or easy to find, making it challenging for guests unfamiliar with the area to locate the property efficiently. Clear signage and better directions could significantly improve the initial impression and overall satisfaction of guests. It was 2~3 blocks far from sakae stastion, and covered with decadent bar.

In conclusion, while Nagoya Tokyu hotel had potential, my stay was overshadowed by the restricted access to amenities, the pervasive smell of cigarettes, the outdated facilities, dim lighting, and the difficulty in locating the property. I hope that the management takes these concerns seriously and considers addressing them to enhance the experience for future guests.
