Food was fine. Staff were not coming around to check on things. They would have made another ¥2-3000 if they had only come round to ask if we wanted another drink (not to mention dessert, which we ended up skipping and would have added another ¥2000).
They forgot things we asked for even after being reminded and messed up our order by assuring us the picture on the menu was a different item entirely. They couldn’t pronounce their own menu items but I understand the server who took our initial order may have been new.
The staff don’t seem well trained to be honest, but I understand everywhere is understaffed and we lost three years of continuous staff training during the lockdowns. There are little things you can do though, like just doing the rounds every few minutes or taking a different route back to the kitchen after delivering an order when there are constant orders. Or just don’t sit customers in places the staff don’t walk through. For the price point though you would expect a little extra. Maybe Japan should start implementing a tip system…
The atmosphere is also ruined by the light being too bright. You should dim the lights after happy hour to create a bit of ambience. People go to places like this to escape their everyday life, help them with the illusion they are visiting somewhere else, not in their brightly lit office.

Read moreWe were super excited to go to TGIF. Our first visit was extremely pleasant! Our waitress, Gabby, spoke fluent English and had casual conversation with us. She even gave us advice about sightseeing at Oasis 21. Her customer service and English was exceptional! Even though the restaurant was extremely busy, she always made sure that we were taken care of and didn't wait long. I had the fried mozzarella, beef ribs with Jack Daniel's sauce, and a blackberry long Island ice tea. Everything was absolutely delicious! We were so happy that we came back the following day, but we were extremely disappointed by the service from Jelly and Keyna. Their English was poor and they kept speaking to us in Japanese. It wouldn't be such a problem if this wasn't an American restaurant. Also, the store promotes that the staff speaks to customers in their own language. This time I had a pound of cheese fries which was ok. The Hawaiian Volcano drink was extremely nasty and tasted like medicine. I threw away the entire drink and ordered a Peach Sangria which was much better. Overall, the rating is only this high because of Gabby's exceptional customer service. We both think that staff who is proficient in English, such as Gabby, should be paid twice as much as staff who cannot speak...

We asked for an English menu that never came.
The staff seemed tired and overworked.
I asked for a well done steak (due to pregnancy suspicions) and it came almost raw.
They forgot to deliver some of the drinks we asked.
The paper dispenser at toilet was empty even tho it wasn't long after opening hour.
Fried mozzarella was super tho. The best I'd ever ate. Fish and chips were good too. Ribs were cooked to perfection and the salad was great.
Even with some of the food tasting good, the overall experience was ruined by a really rude waitress.
We get it, it's not a super fancy place but it's not cheap also. So I expected some quality. Deeply...
