Delicious Food, but Service Could Be Better

I recently had lunch at Kyoto Takashimaya’s restaurant floor, and overall, it was a pleasant experience worthy of four stars. The food was outstanding — beautifully presented, fresh, and full of delicate Japanese flavors. I ordered a tempura set meal, and every piece was crisp, light, and perfectly cooked. The miso soup was rich and comforting, and the sashimi tasted incredibly fresh.

The restaurant’s atmosphere was calm and elegant, offering a nice break from the busy streets outside. Everything from the plating to the cleanliness reflected a high standard of quality.

However, the service left room for improvement. While the staff were polite and respectful, they seemed overwhelmed during the lunch rush. It took quite a while to get our order taken and even longer for refills or check requests. The delay wasn’t enough to ruin the meal, but it did affect the overall flow of the dining experience.

バイト接客は置いといて、料理が最低の店。入る価値なし。奈良の観光センターと聞いて呆れる。観光客の奈良離れを促しかねない店。

おそらく役所が運営している店(手洗いにあった消毒液にテプラで奈良市観光課とあったので)。夏の暑い日に入店した。小腹が空いたので、同行者とシェアしようと2300円の地産地消系カルボナーラ(Lサイズ)を注文した。

量はだいたいコンビニで売ってる普通盛りパスタと同じかそれよりも若干少ないくらい。洒落た店ならそんなもんだよねと思いつつ(それにしては内装やらテーブルはハゲてて小汚く、ボロボロだったけど)とにかく食べた。

塩辛い。ひたすらに塩辛い。とてつもなく塩辛い。

まるで海水でパスタを茹でたかのように塩辛い。マクドナルドのポテトで時々あたる塩辛いカリカリのやつよりもずいぶんと塩辛い。握り寿司をシャリが真っ黒になるまで醤油小皿に置きっぱなしにしたような、破滅的なしょっぱさ。それもその一口だけではなく全体的にそうなのだ。 塩水で茹でるパスタでは有りがちな失敗だけど、プロがする仕事ではない。まだバイトがレンチンするだけのファミレスチェーンの方が幾分かマシだと思った。厨房はバイト以下の仕事ぶりらしい。最悪だった。

塩辛いのが苦手な女性同行者は早々にリタイア。元々辛党の自分が泣く泣く食べる。 値段のわりに量が少なめで良かった。 たまごで若干マイルドになっていて良かった。 夏の暑い日で塩分を失っていて良かった。 塩分チャージ！ などとポジティブマインドをキープしつつ、一方で激昂したい気持ちを抑えながら、ひたすらに我慢して食べた。今思えば自分の体のことを考えて残すべきだったと思う。

店を出てから同行者との感想戦で、「ラージサイズをシェアして良かったね。一人一皿だったら絶対に食べきれなかったし、最初に沢山頼んであの店にお金をしっかり落としたら、きっといま最悪の気分だった」と、塩責め拷問による損失がカルボナーラ１皿2300円程度であってよかったことに二人して安堵したのであった。

繰り返すが、とんでもなく最悪の店である。行く価値なし。奈良県民としては、他県からの観光客には行かないで欲しいとさえ思う。少なく...
