I saw a review from a couple of customers previously that had similar issues and thought I would share a review with some helpful instructions for everyone before you go.
When you first enter, if you will get a coffee to go (takeaway) then join the line to order. The line does not go out the door, but it curves around the inside retail part of the store.
If you intend to dine in (to have here), then you first need to find a table. When you find that table do not sit, but leave something behind to make it clear it’s your table. It’s completely fine and safe to leave your bag or a jacket. That indicates you have a table, then you must all come back and join the line to order to have here. Let them know you already have a table.
After you order, you take your receipt with your number to your table and sit and wait for your number to be called. Then you get up and go get your food and drink.
Please remember you need to order at least one drink per person in order to dine in (have it here).
I did not have a pleasant experience here and sadly will not return as a result. We saw the little sign that said to grab a table and then come to order. I was with my parents (3 of us) and I was waiting in the line while they went to find a table. They found a table and they proceeded to sit because I was ordering for them. One of their staff members came up to my parents and in a loud, firm tone asked my parents to get up from the table and proceed to the front. When they approached me, she followed them and proceeded to then instruct all of us to go to the back of the line. I was already in line and then she abruptly decides to tell my parents to go find a table, which they had just done. It was terribly confusing and embarrassing. We almost left the cafe but we did not want to cause a scene.
It took us sometime to understand what happened and we believe there was confusion because my parents did not leave something at the table to reserve their seats and come back to the line, but the staff did not realize I was already in line for them. It was stressful and ruined the...

Read moreThe coffee shop has a casual and cozy atmosphere. When we went here, around 50% of the diners were foreigners.
The baristas can speak English, and they take orders pretty efficiently. They call you by your order number when it is ready. One nice touch that I noticed was they yell out the order number in English if the diner is a foreigner but they use Japanese otherwise.
I am not a coffee afficionado so I cannot comment if a cup of coffee is good or not but we had one dark and one light roast of caffe latte. It was really good at least for my tongue. The weekend citron cake is also excellent as it balances the sweetness of the cake together with the tartness of the lemon/yuzu(?). It is also pretty light that you won't feel greasy or heavy after eating it. We also ordered the mushroom croissant which was covered with cheese and mushrooms that had the savoriness and earthiness as you would expect. The croissant also lends a different texture when eating it together with the cheese and mushrooms.
Overall, food is excellent, service is efficient and cozy atmosphere. We also went back during the afternoon to buy the Saruzawa blend of whole beans to...
