If you’re visiting Nara, Kintetsu Nara Station is hands down the best and most convenient way to arrive! Located much closer to Nara Park, Todai-ji Temple, and the famous deer than the JR station, it makes exploring the city incredibly easy.

It's the last station of the Kintetsu Lines. If you're coming from Kyoto using Kintetsu Kyoto Line. Your last station is Yamato- Saidaiji.

Although you can buy a ticket from Kyoto to Kintetsu- Nara station, you have to get off at Yamato- Saidaiji station and wait for the Kintetsu- Nara Line. There's no need to exit and re-enter the platform or pay for another ticket. You just wait at there at the plateform 2 for Nara.
