A little piece of nature in the middle of an urban jungle. People come here for a breath of fresh air, take a walk, go running or even to barbecue and have a picnic. Tables and benches are already provided. The name might be a little misleading as it is not a natural forest, but where trees are planted in commemoration of loved ones, hence the name “Memorial Forest”. There are wide concrete paths with benches along the way and every time I visit the park is very well kept. My favorite time of year to visit is around late November / early December due to the warm tones of gold and red fall foliage.

We walked through the park on our way back from visiting Osaka Castle and it was so much more interesting that when we arrived from the other side of the castle. There was a group of kids on stilts or on unicycles walking around.

Mi visita al "Forest of Memorial Trees" en Osaka fue una experiencia conmovedora que me dejó impresionado por la belleza y el significado detrás de este lugar especial. Desde el momento en que ingresé al bosque, supe que estaba a punto de vivir algo único.

Este bosque, situado en el corazón de la bulliciosa Osaka, es un oasis de tranquilidad y reflexión. La primera impresión que tuve al caminar entre los árboles fue la paz que se respira en este entorno natural. Es un lugar perfecto para escapar del ritmo frenético de la ciudad y conectarse con la naturaleza.

Lo que hace que este bosque sea aún más especial es su propósito. Cada árbol en el "Forest of Memorial Trees" se planta en memoria de las víctimas de desastres naturales y tragedias, tanto en Japón como en todo el mundo. On our way to Osaka Castle, we walked past Osaka Park. It was a great culture and everyone had their picnic rugs and blankets all set up and ready to go for a nice day out. We could smell the BBQ from locals and even though we were tourists, we felt included.

We also walked past a building which gave us a reflection of the sky! Found it pretty cool, didn't care if it was a tourist thing or not but camera...
