Eric-san: スターバックスに行きたい! Seiko-san: いいね!
Eric-san: I want to go to Starbucks! Seiko-san: Yes!
Starbucks is a universal language for those into convenience, familiarity, and oh that cool af Japanese menu! After playing Ninja at Osaka Castle we both needed a break and we noticed a Starbucks at the entrance. I mean walking on water, climbing walls, fighting Tengu in the forest was tiring. スタバ!
Hai, as Sensei told me even the younger gen Japanese born after Shōwa has スタバ Sutaba now in slang. This location is convenient for those traveling to Osaka Castle as it's near the Ōsaka-jō Kōen Subway Station.
We enter to a familiar scene. Lots of people catching up on the days events or immersed into smartphones. Sipping and chatting. We are warmly greeted as the ganbatte spirit is alive here. We ordered refreshing tea-centric drinks from the desired Japanese Menu. As we find premium sofa seats near the windows our drinks are already made. Lots and lots of seating and high ceilings makes this location a smart meeting point for those who are not only visiting the majestic castle, but also Ōsakens that live or work nearby.
In the end, I'm not the biggest Starbucks fan, let me clarify... American version, however Sutaba in Japan is next level. I'm a huge fan of the Japanese upgrade with Japan menu and Japanese ganbatte spirit! I find it fascinating how overall American cafes or restaurants in Japan is far superior to it's American counterparts. Welcome to Japan!...

What is wrong with her?! just a few seconds for a cup of hot water! Did it really...
Read moreBeautiful outlet located at Osaka Castle Park. The outdoor seating is fantastic with views of the trees. Super soothing and calming. Food was good with a selection of sandwiches, muesli oats, etc. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Has to be one of the nicest Starbucks I've ever visited from a location solely as well as architecture of the building. Worth to stop by prior to entering the castle grounds...
