Hotel Sunplaza — Attraction in Osaka

SunPlaza Hotel( next to Shin Imamiya Station). |Agoda $35.00 per night |1/2 the price(see pics) when you walk in or book through their website. ||Noisy Tin Can ||Non-smoking single bed (room #633). |Avoid this room or any rooms ending in 32,33,34,35 & 36. Try to get rooms at the end of the hallway and away from the bathrooms and elevators. ||I arrived at 9:00 am. The professional and polite staff was able to check me in early. ||I was given my room key, a small face towel, toothbrush/paste and a small tissue packet. That’s was it 😭. No pajamas||The room was the size of two twin beds combined, with a some leg room from the entrance to the end of the bed frame. Able to fit a small carry on luggage. ||Each floor has a male and female toilet. It’s connect to each other. There’s no door leading into the bathroom area, it’s just a open entrance with a sign for Male and Female. Men’s had one urinal and one Japanese’s bidet. Women’s has two bathroom stalls. One is Japanese bidet and One squat. ||Each floor has its own “unisex” vanity area with 4 x sinks , hand soap, hair dryers and one shower. It looked like a “unisex” shower, but I can be wrong. ||The roof level is the public bath and spa which I did not try. Female and Male hours. ||Pro’s: |Fast Free WiFi |Air con in room|Small Refrigerator |Small TV with only Japanese Channels |Next to Shin Imamiya Station= 1 minute walk|Dobutsuen-Mae Station Exit # 3 = 7 minute walk|Sinsekai area. Lots of food and drinks = 10 minute walk |Spa World( 1200 yen) = 10 min walk|Family Mart = 3 minute walk |Kansai Airport = 54 min ||Con’s: |Front desk supplies free air plugs( a must). |Super thin walls. Can hear the slightest noise: foot steps, hand dryer that sounds like a vacuum cleaner, doors opening and closing and thin uninsulated bedroom windows with tons of street noise. |No heat in room, only in the hallway. |Bed linen was cheap which made me itchy. |Bedroom was old. Felt like a prison cell with dirty carpets. |Neighborhood was dirty and the air smelled like old cooking oil mixed with cigarette smoke. ||I would not recommend this hotel.
