The location of the hotel is very easily accessible by train from the airport and to Osaka station. It’s also only 1 train stop away from another main transit station, Tennoji. It is however located in a very rough part of the city where less than 30 meters outside the hotel, there are many homeless people living there. The homeless people don’t bother others unlike those in America. I do not think there is an issue with safety in the surrounding vicinity.||The room is small for 2 people and there is no place to open 2 large luggage’s at the same time. The room I was given was a total disaster. It was on level 4 and facing the very noisy railway tracks. The railway tracks are only about 25 meters away from my room! The sound proofing was bad as we could hear the noise from passing trains. Sleeping early was not possible due to the noise. You would not need an alarm as the noise from passing trains will be the constant alarm from 5.30 am. ||The cleanliness, or the lack of it, is another deal breaker. When I draw the curtains, I could see so much dust flying around over! |The windows from inside were dusty and dirty. ||Checking in and out were done via machines. I booked the hotel and elected to pay on arrival. I was shocked when the receptionist tried to over charge me by about ¥80,000! When I informed that that the price was not right, she offered me a ‘discount’ but this amount was still about ¥50,000 more than the price I was looking supposed to pay. ||I told her check again and she finally charged me the correct amount. She was obviously not pleased and probably decided to punish us by assigning us arguably the worst room in the hotel. All these things left us with a very poor impression of the hotel. ||I did not try the ¥1430 breakfast. ||I’d not recommend this as there are plenty of choices with better price to...

Read moreFirst the location. We were pleased to find out that reaching Chisun Standard is practically to go out of the Nankai Shin Imamiya station (accessable via direct train from airport), cross the road and voila you are there. Super convenient and strategically perfect to go to all kind of places like we did. The JR station is in the same building as the Nankai, only a few meters further. And if you don‘t mind walking 300m you have direct access to the Osaka subway system via the Dobutsuenmae station. |Now the hotel itself. Very modern and well kept, super clean and everything works well. Our room was a bit small, but you could see that the person who planned/designed it put a lot of thoughts in it. 2 USB charging plucks, a well working aircon and wifi that is far better than most hotels I spend time in. Despite a bigger road and two trainsystems passing by we slept well, the windows seem to be noise isolated. |They have a room with washing machines and a beverage machine besides the lift. Also a locker room with spacious lockers that can handle a handluggage sized suitcase. Breakfast is optional - you can buy a coupon if you didn’t book breakfast and just wish to have it on certain days. Things like toothbrush, cottonbuds etc are offered free. Staff was very helpfull and friendly.|Now the environment: Shin Imamiya is not a luxury place. You can see quite a number of homeless people, but they don‘t care about you and if you do the same everything is fine. Shops and restaurants are mostly more on the simple side with often warmhearted Kansai people. A family mart can also be found right across the street...
