Daitora Shokudo is the definition of a mom and pop shop located in a busy part of Osaka. They are open early morning and into the afternoon.
They offer a great ¥500 breakfast set which includes tamago, rice, and soup. We ordered a few of these for my family and it was the definition of a home cooking. They also enjoyed some of the spicy squid that we also ordered for the table.
For vegan options, they were able to make me a veggie yakisoba with no egg or meat. It was a fairly simple but inexpensive meal overall but glad that they were able to make something available for me.

Food is good, although we found that the grilled fish is too salty. Portion is just nice for 1 pax. Meal comes with miso soup, pickels, 1 side dish, and 1 rice. Grilled fish meal is jpy 600 and chicken meal is jpy 700. Very affordable.

The rice was sooooo fluffy and perfectly cooked... I regret for asking it to be halved fearing I couldn't finish it. Coz everything was so salty too.
