Love it to bits. So much going on. The Kayukan (aquarium) is there,beautiful fountains,also the big Ocean liners stop there so that's another bonus. Virtually every shop assistant speaks some English so that saves me the ordeal of using my somewhat limited command of the Japanese language. All you need to know is "Arigato gozimas" - thank you very much. That little gesture and a respectful bow - preferably with a smile - will get you through the day in most of Japan . The exception might be Tokyo as the people there do not seem so welcoming as in other areas. That may simply be down to the sheer volume of people there so I don't mean to sound harsh. I can only speak as I find.
