Utsubo Park — Attraction in Osaka

Nice quiet little park in Osaka. Went on a late Monday morning in May, there were some locals strolling with their kids and a handful of tourists, wasn’t super crowded. Good spot to take a break from all the food and shopping and smell the roses.

Plenty of benches throughout the park for resting and photos. The benches by the wall of roses are great for pictures. As with everything else I’ve seen in Japan, it’s clean and well maintained.

Walkable from Dotonbori / Shinsaibashi area (about 20-30 minutes depending on how fast you’re walking.) Google Maps showed almost a zig zag path leading up to the middle of the park when I plotted my course for the Utsubo Park Rose Garden. You can actually enter from the side of the park as well, walking on one of the main streets, if you want to avoid the small alleyways where you’d have to dodge cars and bicycles.

On the way back, we took Bus 75 (there’s a stop 1 block north of the rose garden) to a another stop pretty close...

How many minutes to come across this park in Autumn while riding a rental bike around Osaka and if you come at the top of you it is absolutely beautiful it's very fun family friendly park with some beautiful rose gardens and if you get great weather like I have you'll have a very natural experience moving amongst the Japanese places while they play with your children and walk bags over sit on benches in the park. It is very peaceful and if you catch the breeze blowing the leaves from the tree it is like it is snowing Autumn...

Nice park split into two halves one half is all tennis courts the other is like a normal park. The side with the tennis courts there is a police box if you need them they are there it is near the road splitting the two halves of the park, the other half has a little river in the middle with ponds at each end plenty of benches to rest and flowers to look at, it is also good for jogging and pet friendly but so hot...
