This is NOT an observation deck. On the 8th floor there is an observation deck facing the sea, but it’s too low to the ground to really be that spectacular. If you take the elevator up to the 30th floor, you will just see about 10 windows in front of a staircase with a nice view, but it’s not an observation deck at all. Also, it says it closes at 5 PM? No it doesn’t. The restaurant ATTACHED to the viewing window area closes at 5 PM. We cut our time short at Ritsurin Garden because we thought we’d be late, and I wish we had spent more time at the garden instead. BUILDING Symbol tower is a gorgeous skyscraper. At 150m and 30 stories it’s the tallest building in Shikoku. It’s easy to see why they chose the name ‘symbol’ as it dominates the skyline of Takamatsu. At night the tower really comes alive with the gorgeous side lighting facing the JR station. 5/5

The shopping mall on the lower floors were restaurants and shops. Many parking lots were available underground. The lifts leading to the observation level were free. Chairs and long desks were placed there for people to take a rest and enjoy the view. Toilets were clean. There was a restaurant operating on the higher floor. The night scene should be specular. Nothing was selling on this floor. The atmosphere was quiet...
