Ramen was good; I've certainly had better elsewhere though. Thought it was a bit small too. Nevertheless I really like this place and definitely would come back. I thought the gyoza was great: lightly fried and not oily at all. Love their digital ticket machine outside with the English menu. Finally I could go to a ramen shop and completely understand the whole menu instead of having to settle for what I do understand. Comes in Chinese and Korean too. A few unusual differences here. One of them is they offer free eggs with your order. I wouldn't eat one though cause I don't like where they come from. Another is the pickled bean sprouts which is on the table like a condiment - delicious. And most unusual is the free hair bands on tables. I guess if you have long hair you could easily put it in a ponytail so hair won't get in your soup. This doesn't apply to me though. Hope my friends in Connecticut are getting some sleep. It is hard to be away from people that you love and care about when...
Read moreTypical ramen bar. You pay at a machine before entering. Staff very friendly, helped me with everything. However there was hard to find a place to put my winter coat. If it was full I would have had to eat with clothes on, which considering the broth is hot, is not ideal. But luckily I found an empty seat near me and used that. So 4/5 for atmosphere for this.
The soup was very delicious, it is a shoyu tonkotsu style of ramen, that is very popular in Takamatsu City. It came w/o ajitama so I asked for it, and it came with no extra cost. I rate the ramen 5/5 and I would eat...
This Ramen restaurant is located near Takamatsu Station and is open until late at night. While it's a convenient place for those who are hungry late at night, it should be noted that many of the items on the menu are rich and may cause stomach upset the next morning, depending on the person. You need to purchase a meal ticket in advance from the ticket vending machine located outside the restaurant. Inside the restaurant, there are about 20 to 30 seats at the counter and at tables, and a small bookshelf with comic books is always available near the entrance for use while waiting for your food order. The Ramen soup is quite thick and somewhat sticky. It's well mixed with the noodles, and the seasonings are not too strong, so you can enjoy it all the way through to the end, but you may have the impression that it's a little heavy when you finish it. Eggs are always available at the table and can be added to the ramen for free. Please note that this will mellow the flavor, but will not reduce the richness of the ramen. On the other hand, one of the charms of this restaurant is that all of its ramen are...
