I love this place! It has easily become one of my favorite and nostalgic places to have dinner in Tanabe. The moment you approach the restaurant, you'll be greeted with bright lights and colors that are reminiscent of an American diner back home. There are so many pop-culutre items all over the restaurant that make any American tourist or expat feel at home. The owner and his wife are so friendly! He shared his love for all things American, and his passion was shown in the food they serve. I ordered the burger with bacon. It was so delicious and juicey. I was so impressed by all the flavors that exploded from the patty. I've also ordered the fish and chips, and they are amazing and crispy! If you're passing through, please give this place a try. I am never disappointed when I visit, and I sent think you will either. The prices are very reasonable. Also, I might be a little biased because his favorite movie is Back to the Future, which he'll have playing in the background.

ABCDE burger was one of the best cheeseburgers Iā€™ve ever had. Fries were great. I have been enjoying lots of the wonderful local food, but I couldnā€™t pass this up. It was a perfect meal the night before I started my trek across the Kumano Kodo. Very friendly. Greatly enjoyed talking with them!! Edit- it was so stuck in my memory that I came back after the Kumano Kodo and somehow the ABCDE was even better. Excellent.

Great meal with my friend! Food menu has full English, drinks menu is mostly katakana. Owner spoke a little English and was very friendly and enthusiastic to serve us. Very good prices; the super giant tall burger was under 1400 yen, and a tall (äø­) beer was 500 yen. The ginormous burger patties were I think a beef/pork mix, but that's pretty common in Japan anyway and they still...
