We've stayed at APA before and I think comparing it to the previous stays from different APAs in Tokyo, this hotel needs to take care of its facility a little bit more compare to the others. ||||The staff are nice, room is standard, location is not very bad considering it is literally just one min walk from the nearest subway station, but there are not many of food options around the hotel (I am talking about within 10 mins walking distance), so for better options, you will walk for 15mins - 20mins to the Shinagawa station. Also, there is NO SMOKING area is allowed within the hotel ground or anywhere nearby, so your best bet for smoking is in the Shinagawa Station area (they probably do have a smoking room, but my husband never smokes in the room, so...that's kind of an issue). However, one of my biggest disappointment is the public bath. ||||I have stayed at different Japanese business hotels (including different APA) before with a public bath available. The cleanliness of the bath is not very well maintained. I am not talking about the actual bath area, which is okay, but the common area where you change. Small, and occupied, and there is just hair everywhere on the floor, which I didn't understand why others could keep it clean so well, and this one doesn't. Also, it kind of bothers me how there is no locker room in there. You just have to put all of your clothing and things into the basket, which is again, not very well cleaned. Of course, they have a super small locker for your important things like room key and cell phone, but maybe just me feel uncomfortable to just leave everything in the not looking so clean basket in there. ||||This hotel opened in 2015, but they definitely need to do a better job of maintaining it. Same with the room, we are not expecting much, but things are definitely worning out inside. ||||Overall, I would say, it's a typical APA, but with the price I am paying, I may want to go to a different APA......
