The air biccamera in the aqua city mall odaiba is a wonderful shop for omiyagi for friends and family. They sell all the goodies you are looking for your friends and family back home. They offer tax free shopping over 5000 yen and have multi language staff. Great snacks, make up and lotions and room for electronics from shavers to rice cookers. They have a big beer selection. You can also find SIM cards for your phone that is cheaper than the airport. Not as big as the normal biccamera but perfect for tourist shopping for last...
Read moreI had an extremely disappointing and humiliating experience at the Air BicCamera Aqua City Odaiba store.
I fully followed the store’s policy of a 3-pack limit per passport. When I tried to purchase an additional 3 packs of film using my father’s passport and cash—for my child—the staff refused the sale, claiming it was “my money.” They even told me not to stand next to my own father during the transaction. The rules kept changing, and there were no clear signs about the limit at the counter.
A Chinese staff member only translated what the Japanese staff said, but refused to translate our explanations. The manager was present but remained silent throughout.
I was simply trying to buy a camera and some film for my child, but was met with unfair and discriminatory treatment. This is far from the high standard of service Japan is known for.
I do not recommend this store to anyone—especially those shopping with children or expecting respectful service.
