This park is mostly great, when it's actually open. The main section of grass is closed 4+ months of the year! Usually they close it some time in November to January and around May to June (and maybe other times, I can't recall exactly) so if you're planning a picnic might want to check if it is in fact open. We've been told off for playing with balls and once or twice for using bubbles. I'm wondering what variety of grass they chose for a public park that apparently requires more maintenance than a golf course. They literally cover the entire thing with a tarp sometimes. Other than that it is a nice stretch of grass for kids to play and for relaxing with friends. Keep in mind many of the local kindergartens use it in the morning when the weather is nice so it may be busier then.
