Bad customer service and quite sexist store consisting 80% male staff, but selections are ok. When it was closing time on Saturday evening at 9 pm, the male clerk was rather rude. I’m local Japanese and I know of our customer service, we treat customers such ways to get something even at closing time and we don’t ask customers to get out of store especially when a customer is buying basket full of items worth about $300/30000 yen. The generation of inexperienced customer service reps need to be drilled with concept that you as a customer service clerk do not get to tell customers to get the hell out of store especially in a rude way. And this is part of the Seibu store. Seibu is an old Japanese department store. None of the stores in Seibu would rudely ask customers to pick up and get out of a store, unheard of. And it was not even past closing time or I was only the person in the store. @Muji, you need to better train your floor customer service. They’re poorly trained. Especially the younger ones are very poor with customer service. And I do feel uncomfortable serviced by male clerks in a women’s underwear and clothing areas. You seem to hire only males, like 80% of the store clerks are males. Hire more females and stop being sexist in this modern age. Btw, this Muji is not full of selections unlike what most foreign visitors believed this may have been. Most Muji does have many items like this and it’s not different from other stores. In fact they don’t have many Medium sizes and sold out many times (I know because I got here all the time, minutes away from my home). A female clerk incorrectly processed the credit card amount. Instead of canceling the transaction(Void), she and another female manager chose to issue a refund(Refund), causing me to lose money due to handling fees and exchange rate differences. It's really frustrating.
