Ippudo Ikebukuro — Restaurant in Tokyo

Went looking for a meal today and ended up running into this place. Went to another ramen restaurant just before that I researched online but the lines were way too long and in direct sunshine so I moved on.

Can’t see how you can do a much better job than Ippudo to be quite honest. Ramen was so so tasty.

Firstly, there was a line outside but just a couple of people and it was in the shade. I was inside in 5 minutes.

Secondly, it’s a slick service with everything order-able on a tablet a little like a Japanese family restaurant. Everything seemed to be infinitely customisable. I of course ordered extra egg and Pork. The food comes to you shortly afterwards, maybe 5 minutes.

Can fault anything really, although I’m not a Ramen expert I would say this was one of the best servings I have had to...

A lot of people don't know this but automatically go to Ichiran. Ippudo is where it's at.

I got bored of the typical lemon sours and I got the grapefruit sour and I didn't expect much from it but boy was I in for a surprise. I loved it and the way it tastes. Id come back just for that lol. Once again the first liquid that touch my lips for the day was alcohol.. But yea you can't go wrong with ippudo, tablet ordering I'm English and Japanese and I think other languages too.

So easy to find the pic of the food you want. Food arrived quickly and I spent more time savoring it and my grapefruit sour! So do yourself a favor and you're choosing between Ichiran and Ipuddo? choose Ippudo.

Very nice and smily staff. The interior design is based on raw thick wooden panels and tables, quite open and not smoky. They air jazzy piano tunes, quite relaxing. The global atmosphere feels good. Ramen are tasty, you can choose the hardness of the noodles. Then you can add all the free toppings you want (sesame, ginger, bean sprouts, strong flavor sauce, etc.). The egg is perfectly soft-boiled. Noodles refill costs 120 yen while a typical bowl is about 850 yen. The free flow ice-tea is quite well flavored.
